I got married recently. And like every couple, we lived through those months of preparation when you become, without asking, project manager, decorator, negotiator, logistics expert and family diplomat. The venue, the caterer, the music, the flowers, the seating plan (oh, the seating plan…). Hundreds of small decisions, and a lot of love put into every detail.
Then came the invitations. In my head it was a formality: make a nice card, send it, done.
Spoiler: it was not a formality at all.
Because behind the nice card there is everything else:
- 📇 Finding a cousin's number, an uncle's email, childhood friends' addresses…
- 📤 Sending it to everyone, one by one, hoping to forget no one.
- 🤔 Wondering who received it, who saw it, who forgot to reply.
- 🔁 Sending a gentle reminder. Then another one, a little less gentle.
- 🧮 Counting guests, children, plus-ones, vegetarian menus…
- 📱 And answering « did you hear back from Auntie? » fifty times.
The invitation is the first moment of the celebration
That's when I understood something. The invitation is the very first thing your guests discover about your event. Long before the first dance, the first toast or the first speech, it sets the tone, the emotion, the desire to be there.
We go to enormous lengths to make the big day perfect. So why should the invitation be rushed, sent in a hurry, lost between two messages? It deserves exactly the same care as everything else. It should be as beautiful as the event it announces.
And talking about it around me, I quickly realised it wasn't just about weddings. Parents organising a bar mitzvah, friends preparing a surprise 40th, companies putting together a seminar or a client evening: everyone faces the same headache. A beautiful invitation on one side, the logistics of sending and replies on the other, and nobody to handle both.
So I created InviteTo
The idea is simple: we take care of everything to do with your invitations, so you can focus on your event.
First, you design your bespoke invitation, reflecting you and your event: your colours, your photos, your logo, your words. As soon as you pay, it is ready: you share it in one click on WhatsApp, by text or by QR code, or we text it ourselves to each of your guests, with their first name and personal link. And you watch the replies arrive, live, on your platform. No more makeshift spreadsheets, no more scattered replies, no more "did Auntie ever get back to you?".
Our promise: an invitation that is truly yours, and nothing else to worry about.
Whether you are preparing the most beautiful day of your life or the evening that will get people talking about your company, we will be proud to write its first page with you.
